Order Management and Fulfillment Advisor

About the role

The Order Management and Fulfillment Advisor is the face of Huntsman to customers, ensuring smooth execution of ordering processes for the Polyurethanes division in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day relationships and orders for assigned customer accounts, providing knowledgeable service.
• Process orders, product returns, cancellations, quotes, documentation requests, and same‑day order entry while maintaining data accuracy.
• Suggest alternate or compatible products and negotiate fees when necessary.
• Resolve issues promptly, following escalation protocols and applying business rules.
• Own streamlined processes such as returns or master data management.
• Provide proactive communication to customers and sales representatives regarding order status.
• Coordinate with Finance/Credit, Supply Chain Planning, and Logistics to manage order blocks and ensure compliance.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as order entry time, confirmation time, and order changes.
• Plan and coordinate transportation of chemical products, working with logistics providers to optimize delivery time and cost.
• Manage the end‑to‑end delivery process in SAP, including creation and monitoring of deliveries.

• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and metric‑driven approach.
• Familiarity with order management policies, processes, and business rules.
