About the role

MNK Seguros is seeking a Risk and Financial Control Officer to lead effective risk management aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. The role involves identifying, evaluating, monitoring, and mitigating strategic, financial, operational, and regulatory risks while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and manage strategic, financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Advise senior management and the board on integrated risk management and internal control matters.
• Develop, update, and maintain risk policies, procedures, risk appetite matrices, and strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments, stress tests, scenario analyses, and solvency self‑evaluations.
• Monitor compliance with internal and external risk‑related regulations.
• Validate the effectiveness of the Risk Management System and propose continuous improvements.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on risk profile, key exposures, and mitigation measures.
• Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate responses to regulator, auditor, and rating agency requests.
• Participate in implementing and strengthening governance, control, and technology frameworks, including COBIT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Active registration with the relevant professional college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar risk management or financial control roles.
• Advanced proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of the legal framework applicable to the insurance sector.
• Technical and financial understanding of insurance products.
• Familiarity with COBIT governance framework.
