MEP BIM Specialist (Modeler)

About the role

A leading BIM company founded in 2007, which provides hands-on, field-focused BIM services including MEP modeling, VDC/BIM management, laser scanning and scan-to-BIM, is hiring a Modeler or BIM Specialist. You will create accurate BIM models for the MEP trades (mechanical and plumbing) and work autonomously, resolving conflicts and ensuring models are constructible and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate BIM models for mechanical and plumbing systems
• Review specifications and design information so models are constructible and high quality
• Work autonomously, identifying and resolving conflicts during modeling
• Ensure the final product meets client expectations

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience modeling piping, plumbing or HVAC in Revit, including process piping, ductwork, sheet metal and mechanical equipment such as pumps, AHUs, RTUs, chillers and boilers, and plumbing such as domestic water, sanitary drainage, stormwater and medical gases
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering; architects may be considered only with extensive experience modeling and coordinating MEP trades
• Advanced spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork and attention to detail

Required skills

• Revit and Navisworks
• Knowledge of BIM coordination, clash reports, QA/QC and model accuracy is a plus
