Civil 3D CAD Operator (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

A U.S.-based engineering firm needs an experienced Civil 3D CAD Operator to prepare existing conditions plans from field survey data. The position is remote, based in Latin America, as a dedicated contractor with 5-10 years of experience. Candidates must apply in English, and a short Loom video presentation is optional but gives priority.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update existing conditions plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Interpret and process field survey data, including survey points, point files and coordinate and rotation information.
• Import, organize and manage survey points in Civil 3D, and create and manage surfaces and related elements.
• Maintain consistent layer organization, drawing standards and CAD workflows.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Manage tasks and track time through a project management platform, meeting agreed deadlines with limited supervision.

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience as a Civil 3D CAD Operator, Civil CAD Technician, Survey CAD Technician or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and land surveying projects, especially interpreting field survey points.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a remote environment.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Core overlap availability with the engineering team; hours and time zone confirmed during selection.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D, including surfaces and point file interpretation.
• CAD standards, layer management and drawing organization.
• Personal Civil 3D license.
• Preferred: civil engineering or land development experience, prior work with U.S. engineering firms, and familiarity with remote collaboration platforms.
