Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician provides hands‑on technical expertise to keep facility equipment, buildings, and systems running efficiently in a cGMP‑validated environment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance while supporting after‑hours emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical troubleshooting on a variety of equipment, including high‑volume validated processing machines.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and review its effectiveness, recommending continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain electrical systems, lighting, and HVAC equipment, including installation, repair, and routine servicing.
• Conduct safety and maintenance inspections on daily, weekly, quarterly, and semi‑annual schedules.
• Document all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in compliance with GMP, LOTO, SDS, and waste‑handling regulations.
• Support new equipment installations and manage the spare‑parts inventory program.
• Participate in a rotating 24‑hour on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergencies.

Required profile

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks that require strength and endurance.
• Experience working in a regulated (cGMP) manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on shift work.

• Lean principles and 5S methodology.
• Electrical wiring and fixture installation/repair.
• HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
