Level 2 MDR Analyst – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are seeking a Level 2 Managed Detection & Response (MDR) Analyst to join a leading managed cybersecurity services provider. The role is fully remote for candidates located in LATAM and supports 24/7 security operations across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and triage security alerts, assessing severity, impact and appropriate response actions.
• Correlate data from security tools, endpoint telemetry and system logs to uncover malicious activity.
• Distinguish legitimate threats from false positives using evidence‑based analysis.
• Document investigation findings, evidence and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Communicate incidents and findings to internal stakeholders in non‑technical language.
• Escalate confirmed threats according to established incident‑response procedures.
• Collaborate with the security team to improve detection quality and investigation processes.
• Maintain high investigation accuracy while monitoring security events continuously.

Required profile

• Strong methodology for security alert investigation and the ability to explain each step.
• Experience analyzing endpoint, log and contextual data to determine the full scope of events.
• Proven ability to differentiate false positives from real threats using evidence‑based decision making.
• Hands‑on experience investigating alerts in a SOC or MDR environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey findings in plain language.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple investigations in a fast‑paced environment.
