Lead Mobile Application Engineer (.NET MAUI)

About the role

Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is looking for a Lead Mobile Application Engineer (.NET MAUI) to provide technical leadership on the Clario App, its core mobile platform used by patients and clinical research sites in global clinical trials. The role leads the design, development and evolution of the app using C#, MVVM and modern cross-platform frameworks such as .NET MAUI, sets technical standards and acts as a technical reference for mobile engineering within the R&D organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture of cross-platform mobile apps with .NET MAUI, keeping them scalable and maintainable.
• Lead development of core features in C#.NET and XAML, staying hands-on with complex, performance-critical components.
• Work with UX/UI teams on responsive, accessible, high-performance interfaces for Android and iOS.
• Oversee integration with RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, secure local storage and offline synchronization.
• Set coding standards, run architecture and code reviews, and ensure security, performance and stability.
• Own the full mobile lifecycle, including CI/CD, build automation, versioning, signing and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers and partner with product owners, backend teams and QA.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development, with substantial hands-on mobile app development.
• Proven track record of production-grade Android and iOS apps.
• Experience with agentic AI coding tools for planning, implementing, testing, debugging and refactoring code.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of MVVM, clean architecture and modern mobile design patterns.
• C#.NET and XAML.
• A modern mobile stack such as native Android/iOS, Xamarin.Forms.NET MAUI or React Native.
• RESTful APIs, third-party services and secure local storage.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for mobile delivery.
• Nice to have.NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms experience, and mobile apps in regulated or healthcare settings.
