Junior Technical Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop hands‑on experience across infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies while providing first‑line support to users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for infrastructure incidents.
• Troubleshoot issues using documentation and knowledge‑base articles.
• Log, update, and manage tickets in an ITSM system.
• Communicate status and updates clearly to end users.
• Escalate problems following defined support procedures.
• Contribute to support documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Follow structured IT processes for incidents, requests, and escalations.

Required profile

• High school diploma and advanced English proficiency.
• Solid understanding of core IT concepts such as virtualization, networking, storage, backup, cloud fundamentals, and security.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge through a technical assessment.
• CCNA modules or equivalent networking knowledge is a plus.
• Motivation to learn and grow in a technical support environment.

Required skills

• VMware ESXi and vCenter basics.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN concepts.
• NAS storage fundamentals.
• Backup types (full, incremental) and disaster‑recovery principles.
• Data replication and deduplication concepts.
• Microsoft Azure awareness (plus AWS and Google Cloud concepts).
• Active Directory basics.
• Multi‑Factor Authentication and firewall basics.
• Experience with ITSM ticketing systems.
