Junior Associate Accountant

About the role

Re:Sources, the shared services arm of Publicis Groupe, provides finance, accounting and business services to its advertising, PR, media, healthcare and digital marketing agencies. As a Junior Associate Accountant you will support the team with accounting and financial activities for Publicis Groupe/Re:Sources entities across the serviced countries in the Americas region, covering month-end close, billing, accounts payable, intercompany balances and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities in line with departmental operational KPIs.
• Prepare and post medium-complexity journal entries in the accounting system, meeting Group closing deadlines.
• Update financial reports for assigned general ledger accounts and reconcile intercompany balances, following up on discrepancies.
• Create, extend, close or modify jobs, purchase orders, customers and vendors in the accounting system; approve supplier invoices and monitor Accounts Payable reports.
• Manage and verify the end-to-end billing process, using the Bot or billing drafts in the accounting system.
• Prepare FMC controls and upload them to the BlackLine system.
• Support internal, FMC and external audits, escalate issues and deviations to management, and identify process improvements.
• Take part in special projects such as migrations, system implementations and support for other regions.

Required profile

• University studies in Business Administration or Accounting.
• B1 English level (oral and written).
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the accounting cycle, intercompany processes, month-end closing, financial report preparation and journal entry preparation and review.
