Jr Appeals Specialist

About the role

The Junior Appeals Specialist supports the Appeals team by handling technical appeals from start to finish. You will evaluate incoming cases, craft denial arguments, and work to overturn denials through effective communication and contract knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging incoming appeal inventory and confirming that appeal criteria are met.
• Composing technical denial arguments for reconsideration, both in writing and over the phone.
• Identifying contract protections that can be leveraged to reverse denials.
• Overcoming objections, securing payment commitments, and documenting actions thoroughly.
• Escalating problem accounts, processes, or trends as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal English communication (B2+ level).
• Basic mathematical ability for accurate accounts receivable statements.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to build long‑term relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret medical records (a plus).
