About the role

We are looking for a Regional Head of Human Resources to lead the transformation of HR into a strategic business partner across Central America. Based in San José, Costa Rica, the role covers Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama and requires frequent regional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement regional HR strategies aligned with business growth and performance.
• Lead high‑volume and specialized recruitment processes for multiple countries.
• Implement competency‑based management systems, performance reviews, OKRs and succession planning.
• Supervise recruitment teams and coordinate agencies, headhunters and specialized vendors.
• Ensure compliance with labor legislation in all covered markets.
• Develop and promote organizational culture, leadership programs, training initiatives and employer branding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in all HR functions.
• Minimum 5 years leading regional HR teams.
• Proven experience in specialized recruitment and competency management.
• Experience building KPIs, OKRs and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of Central American labor laws.
• Intermediate or advanced English is desirable.
