IT Systems & Support Engineer (Automation‑Focused)

About the role

SimSpace is seeking a proactive, automation‑mindset IT Systems & Support Engineer to join its global IT team. Based in Costa Rica, the engineer will work closely with the broader IT organization to own end‑to‑end technology operations, improve reliability, and enhance the employee experience through streamlined processes and scripting.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and govern SaaS applications, manage software inventory and license allocation using Torii and platform‑management tools.
• Audit application usage, enforce access controls, and maintain security baselines across the organization.
• Configure, test, and deploy endpoint settings, software updates, and security policies with Microsoft Intune for Windows devices.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations to reduce repetitive administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated professional with a strong focus on automation and process improvement.
• Experience working in a global, remote‑friendly environment.
• Ability to balance day‑to‑day employee support with systems‑engineering responsibilities.

Required skills

• SaaS application administration and governance.
• Microsoft Intune for Windows endpoint management.
• Familiarity with Torii or similar platform‑management tools.
• Scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Windows operating system expertise.
