Image Annotator – Remote Contract (up to $30/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Image Annotator to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will evaluate digital images against precise project guidelines, ensuring visual quality and consistency for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate images in alignment with detailed project guidelines and quality standards.
• Detect and document visual inconsistencies, errors, and deviations from established criteria.
• Draft concise, well‑structured written explanations to clarify review decisions.
• Maintain calibration and consistency by liaising with peers as criteria or project rubrics are updated.
• Identify, flag, and describe edge cases or novel image patterns outside current guidelines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project documentation by surfacing ambiguities or gaps.

Required profile

• Strong experience in structured review processes.
• Exceptional attention to visual detail and ability to spot subtle issues in images.
• Clear, concise written English for composing actionable feedback and documentation.
• Experience with content evaluation, moderation, quality assurance, annotation, or trust & safety projects is valued.
• Comfort working with review tools or annotation platforms tailored for digital content.
