About the role
Golden Valley School seeks an enthusiastic educator to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Psychology course. The successful candidate will guide students through rigorous, inquiry‑based learning, preparing them for both internal and external assessments while fostering critical thinking and ethical reasoning.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver IBDP Psychology curriculum in line with the official subject guide.
- Design and implement units that integrate biological, cognitive, and sociocultural approaches, including course options.
- Create active learning experiences that promote inquiry, scientific rigor, and critical analysis.
- Guide and supervise students’ Internal Assessments, providing individualized support.
- Prepare students for external examinations using IB criteria and rubrics.
- Provide ongoing assessment, timely feedback, and monitor individual progress.
- Strengthen research, data‑analysis, and ethical reasoning skills.
- Promote international‑mindedness and the IB Learner Profile attributes.
- Monitor academic and social‑emotional development of students.
- Participate in continuous IB training and school‑wide professional development.
- Maintain professional communication with families.
Required profile
- Experience or training in the IB Diploma Programme (preferred).
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Passion for teaching and nurturing each student’s growth.
