Human Resources Manager

About the role

Spartan is seeking a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives across our Costa Rica operations. You will partner with department heads to ensure a seamless talent experience and uphold local labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: write job ads, source candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring managers.
• Build talent pipelines for recurring roles such as sales, underwriting, and operations.
• Design and execute recruiting strategies on platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, and career fairs.
• Lead new‑hire onboarding through the Payroll Platform, including payroll setup, healthcare enrollment, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and administer benefits and payroll processing in line with Costa Rica regulations.
• Develop and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance training.
• Act as a trusted resource for employee questions, drive engagement programs, and organize team‑building events.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven HR experience, preferably in a fintech or fast‑growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rica labor, payroll, and benefits regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
