HR Specialist

About the role

Ulteig is looking for an HR Specialist to be the primary point of contact for HR Operations in Costa Rica. You will work closely with global HR teams supporting the United States, Canada, and future international locations, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end HR Operations for Costa Rica, including onboarding, orientation, benefits administration, HRIS transactions, off‑boarding, employee inquiries, and records management.
• Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, Facilities, managers, and global HR teams to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant HR processes.
• Coordinate contracts, communications, Day 1 logistics, and documentation for onboarding and off‑boarding across supported countries.
• Administer benefits enrollment, life‑event changes, tuition reimbursement, and coordination with payroll and external providers.
• Maintain HR systems (UKG, Deel, ServiceNow), ensuring data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness; act as subject‑matter expert for Deel.
• Execute immigration and global mobility tasks, including visa support, travel documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Document, improve, and standardize SOPs, workflows, and employee resources to support scalable HR operations.

Required profile

• Strong independence, accuracy, and judgment when handling sensitive employee data.
• Proven experience in HR Operations, onboarding/off‑boarding, benefits administration, and immigration processes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and global HR partners.
• Fluent English résumé required.
