Head of Technology and AI Strategy

About the role

Golabs Tech is seeking a senior leader to shape its technology and artificial intelligence direction. Reporting close to the executive team, the Head of Technology and AI Strategy will combine strategic planning, client‑facing activities, commercial support and delivery alignment while owning the company’s AI roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Define Golabs’ technology vision, investment priorities and portfolio decisions for the coming years.
• Set and track technology OKRs, reporting progress and analysis to the board.
• Own technology units, making decisions on tools, investments and market focus.
• Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, craft proposals and identify expansion opportunities in key sectors such as financial services.
• Develop and execute the AI strategy, including solution portfolio, use‑case design and value proposition.
• Run an internal AI lab for research, experimentation and proof‑of‑concept validation.
• Monitor business impact of scaled AI initiatives and manage AI partnerships.
• Deliver internal AI training, document case studies and support talent selection for the AI department.
• Represent Golabs at industry events and foster an AI‑oriented culture of autonomy and experimentation.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in technology, primarily in software development or software architecture.
• Previous roles such as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer or equivalent senior engineering positions.
• Proven ability to make architecture decisions, select technology stacks and evaluate engineering trade‑offs.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
