Graduate Civil Engineer - Renewables

About the role

Ulteig and its affiliated companies are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to support utility‑scale renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage (BESS). You will work under supervision, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver design and construction documentation while gaining hands‑on experience in the fast‑growing clean‑energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing construction plans and specifications for wind, solar, and BESS projects.
• Prepare structural designs and drawings for solar foundations and support structures.
• Research project specifications, building codes, and ensure compliance in designs.
• Produce civil design deliverables such as calculation reports, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and construction details.
• Create and edit drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Generate quantity take‑offs and support permit applications.
• Conduct field investigations or observations to resolve design issues.
• Collaborate with engineering technicians and senior engineers across multiple projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Prior engineering internship experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communication (CEFR B2‑C1).
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
