Global Master Data Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

Join Lonza’s global supply chain team in San Jose, Costa Rica, as a Global Master Data Supply Chain Specialist. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of material master data, bills of materials and recipes across a worldwide manufacturing network, directly supporting the delivery of life‑saving therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and validate material master data, BOMs and recipes in SAP to support global production.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, MES, MSAT, Purchasing and Project Management to guarantee data alignment.
• Act as the SAP Supply Chain Master Data subject‑matter expert, providing user support and promoting best practices.
• Execute data governance activities, including quality checks, workflow monitoring and GMP compliance.
• Support SAP system changes, mass data loads and change‑control tracking.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across the network.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, IT, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience managing supply chain master data or data management within an ERP environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP (MM and/or PP modules) and ERP data structures.
• Familiarity with data governance practices and cross‑functional business processes.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
• Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, SAP MDG or S/4HANA Data Migration.
