About the role

We are seeking a Country Finance Manager to lead the entire finance function in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The role acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing business insight, financial expertise, and influence to drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, and sustainable value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to define and execute business strategy.
• Lead FP&A, Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, and Financial Reporting functions.
• Drive financial and commercial performance through analysis, KPIs, and strategic information.
• Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to improve profitability, productivity, cash generation, and return on capital.
• Oversee financial planning, capital allocation, and investment evaluation.
• Ensure robust internal controls, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance with IFRS.
• Lead financial transformation initiatives, including automation, digitization, and process optimization.
• Build and develop a high‑performance finance team with a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with regional and corporate finance, auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
• Present results, analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Prior audit experience at a Big Four firm.
• Proven track record as a strategic partner to CEOs and executive teams.
• Strong background in commercial finance, financial transformation, automation, and process improvement.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• CPA or equivalent certification desirable; MBA or postgraduate degree a plus.
