Geospatial Analysis Specialist (Remote)

About the role

In this contract position you will leverage your geospatial expertise to support the development of next‑generation AI systems. Working remotely, you will design, manage and analyse spatial data, turning complex geographic information into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain spatial databases ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform advanced geoprocessing and spatial modelling using QGIS and integrate results into decision‑support outputs.
• Develop, customise and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions to meet project specifications.
• Automate geospatial workflows with Python (PyQGIS) to improve efficiency and reproducibility.
• Create high‑quality cartographic maps and visualisations for reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into geospatial solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in QGIS, including spatial database management, geoprocessing and map production.
• Strong Python programming skills, especially within the PyQGIS environment.
• Deep understanding of spatial projections, coordinate systems and data transformation.
• Experience developing QGIS plugins or scripts to extend functionality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organisational detail.
