Frontend WordPress Designer/Developer (Remote)

About the role

Excel Nearshore is looking for a Frontend WordPress Designer/Developer to join a short‑term website refresh project for a U.S. medical‑device design and manufacturing client. The role is fully remote from Costa Rica and will run for approximately 8–10 weeks, focusing on turning pre‑approved design mockups into a polished, responsive web experience.

Key responsibilities

• Convert design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD or similar) into responsive, high‑quality WordPress pages.
• Maintain visual consistency, layout accuracy and UI/UX best practices across all pages.
• Optimize front‑end performance, accessibility and cross‑device responsiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate implementation and iterate as needed.
• Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless component integration.
• Apply SEO‑friendly markup and best practices in partnership with backend development.

Required profile

• Solid experience in front‑end development within WordPress environments.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility with keen attention to visual detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, short‑term project setting.
