Excel Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position focuses on leading quality assurance for AI‑generated Excel and spreadsheet projects. You will ensure that formulas, workflows, and analysis explanations meet strict guidelines and provide clear, actionable feedback to contributors.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Excel formulas, spreadsheet logic, and data‑analysis outputs against project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback and enforce quality standards for trainers and QA reviewers.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates, and support onboarding of new contributors.
• Maintain documentation, style guides, trackers, FAQs, and calibration tasks.
• Activate and monitor contributors who are not consistently delivering quality work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Operations, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience using Excel for analysis, reporting, financial modeling, or spreadsheet QA.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and writing feedback.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, analysts, or QA specialists is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel functions: XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, LET, LAMBDA.
• Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, Solver, scenario modeling.
• Pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, data validation, dynamic arrays.
• Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Excel Online, and project‑management trackers/dashboards.
