Entry-Level Accounting Assistant

About the role

Join H.B. Fuller, the world’s largest pure‑play adhesives company, as an Accounting Assistant I. This entry‑level position supports the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records and performing routine accounting tasks while gaining foundational knowledge of accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate, post, and verify financial transactions to keep records up‑to‑date.
• Assist with accounts payable, payroll, travel and expense processing, and costing activities.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, budget reports, and other management‑level financial reports.
• Review and reconcile financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Organize, maintain, and update accounting documentation and records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet departmental reporting requirements.
• Follow company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform data entry and maintain financial records independently while following guidance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
