English Language Expert - Remote

About the role

We are looking for an English Language Expert to join our remote contractor team. In this hourly role you will review AI‑generated English responses, create expert language content and provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve AI model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts and model responses across diverse topics to support AI training.
• Evaluate, rank and compare AI‑generated answers for correctness, reasoning quality and clarity.
• Identify and correct errors in logic, meaning, methodology or factual accuracy.
• Write clear explanations and model revisions that demonstrate proper methods.
• Test AI outputs for potential biases or inaccuracies and ensure consistency with style guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
• Native‑level or C2 English proficiency (minimum C1); additional professional language(s) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics and stylistic editing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to articulate corrections in writing.
• Self‑directed, reliable and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
• Prior experience with AI data annotation, editorial or localization QA, or professional copy‑editing is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as Perplexity, Gemini and ChatGPT.
