Engineering Internship Program (Chemical, Electromechanical, Data Science, AI)

About the role

AbbVie offers an engineering internship program for advanced university students who want to apply their academic knowledge and build professional skills through real projects, operational support, research and continuous improvement. The program covers chemical, electromechanical, data science and AI engineering fields.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out relevant tasks and projects in the assigned area (engineering, quality, processes, research, supply chain, laboratory, etc.).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, process analysis and compliance with internal and external regulations (quality, EHS, good manufacturing and documentation practices).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and take part in meetings, trainings and development activities.
• Perform data analysis, information management, technical documentation and reporting, using tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI and SAP.
• Support laboratory testing, sample and data collection and processing, protocol preparation and technical documentation for experimental or regulatory areas.

Required profile

• Active university student (at least 50% of the study plan completed) in an engineering, industrial, mechanical, chemical, electromechanical, electronic, data science or AI program.
• Maintain active student status and insurance policies as required by law and company policy.
• Intermediate to advanced English (B2); Portuguese is a plus for some roles.
• Ethical commitment, teamwork, initiative, adaptability, effective communication, organization and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills; advanced Excel is commonly required.
• Data analysis and reporting with Excel, Power BI and SAP.
