Manufacturing Supervisor III

About the role

AbbVie is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor III in Heredia to manage resources, product control and continuous improvement in the Manufacturing department, in line with the company's quality and safety regulations. The role may include supervising up to 20-25 manufacturing employees.

Key responsibilities

• Control work-in-process across assigned production lines and monitor compliance with the production plan
• Evaluate and implement changes to procedures, catalogs and first-article processes to reduce operating costs
• Act as subject matter expert for the production lines, clarify procedures and support projects
• Coordinate production commitments with Logistics and support audits with regulatory authorities
• Lead improvement initiatives such as SWAT and Operating Supplies, and lead improvement teams
• Investigate deviations and define preventive and corrective actions
• Ensure timely disposition of held material in line with the quality system
• Support onboarding and position changes, and promote employee motivation
• Ensure compliance with corporate and legal EHS requirements through policies, controls, communication and training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry
• At least two years of experience in the medical-device industry
• At least two years of experience managing personnel in a manufacturing environment
• At least one year of experience in Quality, preferred
• Master's degree in a manufacturing-related field, preferred
• Advanced English proficiency
• Availability for a fixed-term contract of 6 months
• Availability to work shift B1: Monday to Friday 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
