Engineering Consultant Apprentice - Medical Device

About the role

ECI, a professional consulting firm for the life sciences industry, offers an Engineering Consultant Apprentice position supporting the Manufacturing department in routine engineering and operational activities. The role works under the supervision of the Process Engineer II and Quality Engineer II, supports manufacturing-related activities, and develops technical, engineering and quality-system knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify and summarize manufacturing and quality data.
• Maintain issue logs, action trackers and performance reports.
• Assist with process observations, time studies, engineering trials and validation activities.
• Gather and organize evidence for production and quality investigations.
• Prepare draft work instructions, technical reports and training materials.
• Follow approved procedures and escalate unexpected results or potential quality concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience.
• Native Spanish speaker, fluent English speaking, writing and reading.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; ECI does not sponsor visas for this opportunity.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Proficiency in Minitab statistical analysis.
• Experience with SolidWorks, ProE or Inventor, prototypes and 3D.
• Familiarity with electronic management documentation.
