Endpoint Engineer

About the role

The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for end‑to‑end management and support of endpoint management platforms, primarily Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune (MEM). This role covers device lifecycle management, patching, application packaging & deployment, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Endpoint Platform Support (SCCM & Intune): administer and support SCCM infrastructure, Microsoft Intune, co‑management, monitor platform health and troubleshoot client‑side and server‑side issues.
• Patch Management: plan, deploy and monitor monthly Windows update cycles via SCCM/Intune, ensure compliance with SLAs, troubleshoot failures and generate compliance reports.
• Application Packaging & Deployment: package applications using MSI, EXE and Intune Win32 formats, deploy via SCCM and Intune, perform testing, version upgrades, rollbacks and resolve deployment issues.
• Device Management & Policy Enforcement: configure devices with Group Policy and Intune profiles, enforce compliance policies and conditional access, enroll and manage Windows and mobile devices.
• Incident & Problem Management: act as L2 resolver for endpoint incidents, troubleshoot software deployment failures, patch gaps, enrollment problems and policy conflicts, and support problem‑management processes.
• Automation & Optimization: develop PowerShell scripts for automated deployments, reporting and remediation, optimise collections, deployment rings and update schedules.
