Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead Enterprise IT projects, ensuring delivery aligns with Emerson PMO standards, the IT project lifecycle, and governance practices. You will partner with sponsors, stakeholders, technical teams, business groups, and third‑party suppliers to drive projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned Enterprise IT projects using PMO best practices and Emerson’s delivery guidance.
• Define and manage scope, requirements, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
• Develop and maintain balanced project plans covering time, cost, quality, and talent.
• Monitor performance, KPIs, risks, issues, decisions, and change requests throughout the lifecycle.
• Protect approved scope, schedule, cost, and quality through disciplined change control.
• Prepare and retain required project deliverables per IT lifecycle and portfolio requirements.
• Manage stakeholder communications, status reporting, steering meetings, and stage‑gate reviews.
• Partner with sponsors, finance, technical teams, and suppliers for budgeting, cost tracking, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate work across global teams, third‑party suppliers, and multiple locations.
• Ensure compliance with security, QA, testing, and Enterprise IT processes.
• Use Emerson’s project and portfolio management tools for data, milestones, health indicators, and resource information.
• Identify automation and process‑improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and training to other Project Managers and Coordinators on PMO methodology and tools.
