Endpoint Engineer

About the role

World Vision International is seeking an Endpoint Engineer to maintain, monitor and support its global IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves leading projects, providing technical guidance to endpoint and systems administrators, and ensuring the reliability, security and performance of enterprise computing platforms across more than 100 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise server, storage and backup environments to meet evolving business needs.
• Lead and consult on short‑ and long‑term IT project planning, cost and time estimates.
• Provide technical guidance to Endpoint and Systems Administrators and collaborate with vendors.
• Manage access controls, security applications and system backups, ensuring high availability.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and basic network issues; analyse failures and execute incident response.
• Support 24/7 operations, lead disaster‑recovery efforts and manage off‑site storage processes.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patch management, hot‑fixes and backup verification.
• Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on experience administering enterprise‑level servers and IT infrastructure.
• 5 + years designing, configuring, deploying and optimising server hardware and operating environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration and customer‑service orientation.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a multicultural, humanitarian environment.
