Direct Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Direct Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions within the KPMG Delivery Network (KDN). The role involves overseeing a team of tax professionals, delivering high‑quality tax returns, and ensuring adherence to global tax regulations while supporting strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the direct tax and statistics team, aligning with service delivery standards.
• Review complex corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve escalated tax issues.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Communicate with internal teams and support client‑facing activities.
• Monitor team performance, coach members, and support career development.
• Stay current with tax legislation, accounting principles, and industry trends.
• Represent the team in strategic meetings and contribute to planning discussions.
• Provide tax insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in direct tax compliance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of international tax regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+) and strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in shared services or multinational environments is a plus.
• Emotional intelligence, adaptability to change and a process‑improvement mindset.
