Deputy Operations Manager – Travel & Tourism

About the role

Intrepid Travel is looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to support daily operations across the Central America region. You will work closely with tour leaders, internal teams and regional partners to ensure safe, responsible and profitable travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operations, including recruitment, training and performance monitoring of tour leaders.
• Monitor and implement Intrepid’s safety standards, code of conduct and responsible travel policies.
• Collaborate with Reservations, Product, Contracting, Sales, Customer Care and Global Operations to drive group profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Support various administrative tasks for the Operations team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Tourism.
• At least 1 year of management coaching or training experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience handling administrative tasks using Microsoft 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational abilities, reliable work ethic, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
