Data Quality Analyst

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Global Procurement Data Quality Analyst to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of procurement data used for spend analytics and sourcing decisions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify data quality issues and improve classification models.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of master and transactional procurement data using spend analytics tools.
• Identify data quality gaps through profiling, validation, and analysis.
• Research, collect, and analyze procurement data to draw actionable insights.
• Review business justifications for spend recategorisation and classification improvements.
• Evaluate AI‑enabled classification outputs and provide feedback to enhance model performance.
• Execute data cleansing activities such as deduplication, standardisation, and normalisation.
• Collaborate with data owners, category teams, and other stakeholders to resolve data issues.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to procurement leaders.
• Maintain documentation of data quality actions for audit readiness.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, data management, analytics or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of procurement spend analytics and supplier data.
