Data Engineer (SQL) – Entry Level

About the role

ActiveProspect is looking for an entry‑level Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical models. You will work hands‑on with the company’s modern data stack, ensuring reliable, efficient data solutions that support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, transform and process datasets to keep data accurate, reliable and available for analytics.
• Maintain high‑quality data infrastructure for reporting and operational insights, including pipeline ingestion (Fivetran, Kafka) and transformation (dbt, Snowflake).
• Provide Level 1 support for pipeline failures, monitor data quality and performance, and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to improve data models and governance.

Required profile

• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and Kafka.
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT development and data quality governance.
• Ability to monitor performance and optimise data workflows.
