Cybersecurity Mergers and Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Experian’s Global Cybersecurity M&A practice supports the Board and management in identifying, assessing, and managing cyber risk throughout the M&A lifecycle. The specialist will work with newly acquired businesses and divestiture projects, delivering tailored solutions to mitigate transaction‑specific cybersecurity risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, investments, and divestitures.
• Document seller technology environments, security and privacy postures, and third‑party due diligence results.
• Assess and prioritize cyber risks, recommending pre‑ and post‑close remediation actions.
• Identify material cyber risks that could affect valuation, deal structure, or integration planning.
• Communicate risk findings and recommendations to corporate development leaders and executives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity risk assessment and due diligence.
• Ability to work closely with corporate development leaders and business units.
• Strong understanding of regulatory guidance and industry best practices related to cyber risk.
