Customer Solution Engineer

About the role

As a Customer Solution Engineer at Zuora, you will act as a hands‑on technical advisor, helping customers design and implement subscription, billing, and revenue solutions using the Zuora platform. You will work closely with executives and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business goals and drive measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and demo end‑to‑end, use‑case specific solutions that align with prospect strategic objectives.
• Own technical relationships, understand customer constraints, and secure technical wins against competition.
• Use SQL and data analysis to troubleshoot, validate data structures, and support reporting needs.
• Guide customers through subscription management, billing, and revenue recognition implementations.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to feed technical use cases and feedback into the product roadmap.
• Maintain business process flows, system architecture diagrams, and project assets to ensure long‑term technical health.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to executive audiences.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on SaaS/enterprise application experience, preferably with ERP, CRM, Billing or Revenue platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite or Workday.
• Strong communication and relationship skills, able to work with both executives and technical teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment while focusing on technical excellence.

Required skills

• SQL (joins, data validation, troubleshooting)
• API integration experience (REST, SOAP)
• Familiarity with object‑oriented or scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, JSONata)
• Web technologies (HTML)
