Operations Engineer

About the role

Syniverse is seeking a proactive Operations Engineer to support, monitor, maintain, and improve Java‑based applications on Linux servers. This individual contributor role focuses on escalated technical support, root‑cause analysis, and production system excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalated technical support, lead problem management cases, and coordinate internal and third‑party resources to resolution.
• Install, monitor, maintain, and optimize production server hardware and software, including system health, resource utilization, and application logs.
• Analyze tickets, perform root‑cause analysis, and own issues through to resolution while communicating status to management.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement of production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in application support, technical customer support, problem management, relational databases, and programming.
• Strong analytical, multitasking, and communication skills with a customer‑service orientation.
