Customer Service Telecommunication Specialist I

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Customer Service Telecommunication Specialist I to join its contact centre in Aerocentro, Alajuela. The role supports hospitals and sales representatives by handling emergency calls related to Abbott implanted cardiac devices and ensuring timely communication of case information.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from hospital staff regarding patients with Abbott pacemakers or defibrillators.
• Retrieve patient tracking data, record hospital contact details, and identify the responsible sales representative.
• Send case information via text to the appropriate sales representative and follow up with outbound calls to confirm receipt.
• Provide paging services for Abbott sales representatives, physicians, and hospital personnel.
• Triage calls using approved troubleshooting procedures and seek guidance when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Fully bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (C1 level).
