Coordinador de Mantenimiento

About the role

AR Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities across its retail locations in the region. The role ensures that infrastructure, equipment and systems operate efficiently and reliably, supporting continuous operations and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs, inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate the availability of spare parts, materials and resources required for maintenance tasks.
• Lead internal technical staff and external service providers, assigning tasks and verifying work quality.
• Manage regional maintenance contracts with multiple specialty vendors.
• Oversee technical inspections and diagnose issues in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and infrastructure systems.
• Identify and implement improvements to optimise facility performance and reduce costs.
• Record and track maintenance activities using the company’s CMMS tool.
• Monitor KPIs, generate reports and provide visibility to operational areas.
• Coordinate emergency response during regular and off‑hours periods.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience supervising maintenance of facilities, equipment or buildings.
• Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and infrastructure systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage external providers, ensuring service quality and contract compliance.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to handle emergencies outside normal working hours and travel within Costa Rica.
