Controls Engineering Technician

About the role

Samtec, Inc. is looking for a Controls Engineering Technician to provide daily electrical control support across all production areas. The role involves troubleshooting, software debugging, and assisting with new electrical projects while working under pressure on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the ACS system to manage and resolve daily tickets.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical control systems and controller software.
• Download, modify, and update programs for automation equipment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date software revisions and machine documentation.
• Provide electrical support for all production processes.
• Participate in electrical upgrades, panel building projects, and new project development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar electrical or electromechanical role.
• At least 50% of experience in electrical, electromechanical, or industrial maintenance engineering.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Willingness to work in a chemical environment and adhere to safety rules.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lb.
