About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the financial accounting, tax compliance and treasury functions for a hardware‑industry organization. The role ensures accurate, timely financial information and provides strategic support to the General Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise general accounting and monthly/annual closing processes.
• Prepare, review and file Costa Rican tax returns (D‑104, D‑151, etc.).
• Manage bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable.
• Optimize accounting processes using SAP Business One.
• Produce financial statements, managerial reports and key performance indicators.
• Participate in financial planning, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to fiscal inquiries.
• Lead and develop a small accounting team of two assistants.
• Provide technical and financial support to General Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active membership in the Costa Rican Private Accountants Association (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in senior accounting roles, including closures and tax compliance.
• Proven experience in companies with regional operations is desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and data‑driven decision making.
• Leadership, team development and excellent organizational skills.
• High professional ethics, confidentiality and effective communication across all levels.

Required skills

• SAP Business One (mandatory).
• Power BI (desirable).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial functions, data analysis).
• In‑depth knowledge of Costa Rican tax regulations.
• Financial analysis, budgeting and managerial reporting.
