About the role
The Social Infrastructure Group (GIS) within the Infrastructure and Energy Department of the Inter‑American Development Bank is seeking a motivated professional to support the end‑to‑end management of knowledge products. The role involves editing, quality‑controlling and publishing technical documents, guides, studies, blogs and other specialized materials that promote sustainable, resilient social infrastructure across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, ensure quality and publish GIS knowledge products, including technical documents, guides, studies, blogs and other specialized materials.
- Manage editorial and publication processes in the Bank’s institutional systems such as Convergence and other corporate platforms.
- Coordinate the full product development cycle, liaising with authors, consultants, reviewers, designers, translators and internal units to meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Work with INE and Bank communications teams to plan and implement dissemination strategies for publications, events, trainings and other GIS activities.
- Create communication assets such as news items, social‑media messages, presentations, graphics, videos and other digital content.
- Maintain and update GIS digital assets, including intranet pages, digital catalogues, databases, indicators and dashboards.
- Support monitoring, analysis and reporting of indicators related to knowledge product production, diffusion and use.
- Provide operational assistance for reports, events, training activities and internal processes linked to knowledge management and technical cooperation.
Required profile
- Motivated and proactive professional with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in coordinating multi‑stakeholder projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in editorial and publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with digital content management systems (e.g., Convergence) and basic data visualization tools.
- Ability to produce clear, concise written materials in both Spanish and English.
