Consultant – Project Financial Advisor

About the role

Deloitte's Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) team is seeking a Consultant to support project and account operations in the Costa Rica office. You will act as a focal point for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and billing across multiple engagements, ensuring projects stay on track and within cost scope.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with client policies and perform internal financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis.
• Manage project billing, receivables, and day‑to‑day contract administration.
• Monitor project performance, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate status to US project teams and finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other EFAs, including practitioners in India, to implement engagement management controls.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, track expenditures, and support PMO functional tasks.
• Apply standard processes for project, quality, and risk management.
• Contribute to EFA team growth through participation in practice initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Effective independent work and teamwork skills.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance assessment.
• Familiarity with project management and contract administration.
