Compensation Manager

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Compensation Manager to lead compensation strategy and execution for its Costa Rica region. You will partner with HR, business leaders, and senior management to ensure competitive, compliant, and cost‑effective pay programs that attract and retain top talent.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate jobs using the Global Career Framework to set market‑based salary benchmarks, structure assignments, and incentive targets.
• Oversee the annual merit review process, including manager training, budget allocation, and cost analysis.
• Design and propose merit and adjustment salary budgets, salary structures, starting pay, and bonus targets aligned with market data.
• Provide expert compensation advice to business partners and senior leaders on complex challenges.
• Develop and implement portions of base‑pay and bonus strategies using competitive and cost impact analysis.
• Interpret company policies and local labor laws, delivering guidance and education to managers and HR business partners.
• Coordinate and coach junior team members on tactical compensation projects, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Identify opportunities for compensation process improvements and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive compensation experience.
• Experience working with locations outside the United States; CCP certification strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint for presenting compensation analyses.
• Working knowledge of HRIS and compensation data‑management tools.
