Collections Internship (Accounts Receivable, O2C)

About the role

Baxter is looking for an intern to join its Collections team. You will help with accounts receivable management, payment follow-up, cash application, dispute resolution and analysis of overdue accounts, while supporting key Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and cash flow objectives. The internship lasts 12 months, with potential for extension or full-time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze overdue accounts and carry out customer outreach for payment follow-up
• Record payments in the cash application system
• Review customer dispute records
• Review accounts with orders on hold and work closely with the Credit team
• Use knowledge of O2C metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and past-due accounts receivable

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, industrial engineering or a related field (50-75% of coursework completed, depending on university requirements)
• Availability to work according to the company's telecommuting policy
• English level B1 or higher
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to organize tasks and manage time, proactive attitude and openness to feedback
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professional skills
