Capabilities & Insights Analyst - Digital and Technology Insights

About the role

McKinsey's Digital and Technology Insights (DTi) team is looking for a Capabilities & Insights Analyst. You will guide consultants in using DTi's offerings, products and insights to solve complex client challenges, focusing on clients in the Americas. The role sits at the intersection of technology, digital, AI and business, supporting client-service teams and contributing to the firm's knowledge, tech-enablement and operational agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with client-service teams to scope and prioritize project requests and business needs, and clarify objectives to choose the right offerings, insights, data and products.
• Deploy standard offerings and products with minimal guidance, interpret their outputs, and run medium-complexity data-driven analyses and calculations.
• Prepare accurate documents, databases, models, solution outputs and ready-to-use charts.
• Maintain databases, products, offerings and knowledge codification, and create client proposals and use-case examples.
• Analyze data sets by writing scripts to validate, transform and load data, producing insights that drive client action.
• Work on technical deliverables for internal automation and tools, and on client-facing prototypes, becoming a subject matter expert on digital, analytics, AI and technology.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (engineering, business administration or equivalent in IT/computer science/electronics and communications); master's degree is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in consulting, analytics, AI, IT and/or business intelligence.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel regionally and globally up to 10% of the time.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of general business concepts and terminologies, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, data validation and analysis, and experience with large datasets and data visualization tools is a plus.
• Plus: working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, KNIME, Qualtrics or Agile.
