Buyer II – Project Procurement

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Buyer II to support global project execution by leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities for third‑party goods and services. You will work with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for project‑related materials, equipment, and services across global operations.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
• Conduct supplier events (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) and evaluate proposals using commercial and total cost of ownership criteria.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, service levels, warranties, and commercial agreements.
• Manage procure‑to‑pay activities, maintain purchase orders, contracts, and change orders, and monitor supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, International Commerce, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or project procurement.
• Proven ability to manage supplier sourcing activities and support commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards.
• Professional proficiency in written and verbal English.
