Buyer II – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer II is responsible for scheduling, planning, procurement and expediting of specific product lines to meet master schedules and customer orders. The role supports new product development, maintains inventory levels, and drives cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate supplier input during product development and lead negotiations for purchase validation.
• Maintain supplier relationships, identify alternative sources, and manage purchase requisitions and orders.
• Analyze manufacturing data to influence production decisions and resolve quality, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and internal teams to address invoice and receiving discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiating abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• ERP/MRP systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) knowledge.
• Project management and lean‑principles experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
