Brand Designer

About the role

Gensler's Costa Rica office is looking for a Brand Designer to take part in the conceptualization, design and creation of brand identity, print and digital projects, from project initiation to completion, with guidance from the Creative Director, Studio Director, fellow designers and Design Managers. The role blends environmental and graphic design to create a holistic brand representation for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to design visual identities, graphics, print collateral, digital communications, branded environments, signage and wayfinding solutions for diverse client projects.
• Review and discuss client-provided materials to establish design criteria and understand the client's business and competitive environment.
• Generate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions.
• Integrate messaging, colour, imagery, type and composition into two- and three-dimensional built environments.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams and other graphic designers across multiple industries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, environmental design, advertising design or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of professional experience in brand design, graphic design, environmental graphic design, brand strategy, visual communication, print and digital media design or similar.
• Strong graphic design sensibility and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects with effective team leadership.
• Ability to perform innovative qualitative research to generate ideas, concepts and points of view.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Figma.
• Nice to have: experience with environmental graphic, wayfinding and signage projects; familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; hand sketching and drawing; experience integrating AI into the creative workflow; experience with final artwork development.
